Joss Stone Temple Pilots Perform ‘Interstate Love Song’ on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’

No Chester Bennington? No problem. Not when Joss Stone can step up to the mic.

Just hours after Bennington announced his departure from Stone Temple Pilots, the rock group got a blast of soul when Stone dropped by for a Mashup Monday session. And the song? “Interstate Love Song” of course, a grinding classic from the Scott Weiland-era STP.

The timely creation of the Joss Stone Temple Pilots “supergroup” was a one-off for Jimmy Kimmel Live, which has returned its popular Mashup Mondays segment for the month of November.

The latest round of pun-packed pairings kicked off Nov. 2 with the Brad Paisley-meets-Color Me Badd union…Color Me Bradd. Previous mashups included Weezer teaming with ZZ Top (Wee-Z Top), Kenny G joining forces with Warren G (Kenny & Warren G); Morris Day and The Time working with Haim (Morris Day and the Haim); and Blackstreet jamming with Aloe Blacc (Aloe Blaccstreet).
